column_border_width=&#8221;none&#8221; column_border_style=&#8221;solid&#8221;][divider line_type=&#8221;No Line&#8221; custom_height=&#8221;20&#8243;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221; text_direction=&#8221;default&#8221;]\n<h3>What we learned, and what\u2019s next<\/h3>\n<p>Scientific research can be confusing and overwhelming, and that\u2019s why The Happy Lungs Project is here: To<b> <\/b>help you understand RET-positive cancer research and its impact on treatments and therapies.<\/p>\n<p>Our recent survey showed us what respondents want to know about RET-positive research, with questions like:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>\u201cAre you researching how to keep one\u2019s body strong while going through cancer treatments?\u201d<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>\u201cCan you explain why this type of cancer is often caught so late and progresses so fast?\u201d<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>\u201cWhat are new second generation treatments?\u201d<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>&#8220;Is there anything coming down the pike for RET positive patients?&#8221;<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We\u2019re taking those questions to members of the scientific community, and we aim to bring you the answers.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>It turns out that 62% of those that took the survey were patients and 24% were caregivers and\/or family members.[\/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner column_margin=&#8221;default&#8221; She assists with the development of RET research funding proposals and coordinates collaborations between the academic investigators and commercial contractors. In addition, she helps lung cancer patients and their families in the understanding of the RET positive lung cancer biology and the potential treatment options available.
